AIRWAVE FEATURED ON BT’S NEW ALBUM

Airwave and Banshee Worx are proud to announce an unexpected feature on BT’s latest album “These Hopeful Machines”. To keep the story short, Laurent Véronnez aka Airwave got a remix request from BT’s management back in february 2009 for his track “The Light in Things”, that also features vocals by Jes Brieden (known from Motorcycle among others). What started as a remix job turned out to get partly featured on the Album version, well, some good parts of it. The Airwave remix of the Light in Things should see a release quite soon in its original and dj friendly form. “These Hopeful Machines” was out on Feb 2nd, 2010, on Nettwerk (North America) and Black Hole (Western Europe).

For those who don’t know BT aka Brian Wayne Transeau is a Washington DC based musician who started playing music at the age of 4. Classically trained and with a wide range of influences. In 1993 BT got his first breakthrough into electronic music, with his first album “Ima”, highly championed by UK superstar Sasha. While his second opus called “ESCM” featured one of Trance’s biggest classics, “Flaming June” which got high in the charts, it’s “Movement in Still Life”, BT’s third album in 1999, that helped him develop his career beyond the electronic scene, and that later on saw him make use of his skills for movie scores such as “Driven”, “Monster”, “Under Suspicion” among others. “This Binary Universe”, BT’s concept album from 2006, was quoted as “one of the most innovative albums ever”. This year sees BT release his 6th opus called “These Hopeful Machines”, that perfectly redefines his combination of genres, surfing in all ease between EDM, rock, pop, chill-out moments.

And an additional introduction about Airwave aka Laurent Véronnez is a 32 year old musician with more than 300 releases under his belt. As the co-founder of Banshee Worx, home of the infamous Bonzai labels since 2003, he’s developed his career as a student of music technology. Championed by the likes of Oakenfold, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten back in their Glory days, Laurent Airwave has become one of the world’s most regarded producers. While “I want to Believe” compiled his early releases with a series of new ones, his “Trilogique” album saw him expand his horizons in a 3CD experience. Touareg is Airwave’s latest opus to date and saw him push the envelope by inviting “friends” to use their instrument on his music. Of course the biggest highlights were his collaborations with Yves Deruyter (as his producer), Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz among others. As a remixer, Airwave’s discography counts no less than dozens of jobs for Dance music’s biggest names such as Judge Jules, Tiësto, J00F, and many, many others.

AYLEON – LOST SIGN EP – PROMO VIDEO

We all remember their debut release Glory Silence, introducing their groovy basses in form of beautiful progressive track and their own breaks interpretation of the original mix.

After remixing PeakTwins’ Tarragona for Subtraxx and DJ Orion & J. Shore’s Brotherhood for Lost Language, it’s time for some original work. This time we are raising the tempo a notch.

Lost Sign is a true modern trancer filling the needs of quality oriented DJ’s from every aspect viewed.

Gear Up brings in elements from the past, it has eighties vibe stamped all over it’s synthwork, but the production keeps it clear we’re in 2010 now.

This release will be out next week on Subtraxx exclusively via Beatport for a period of 2 weeks, after that the release will be available on all other portals.

Check the video on our You Tube page in full size or in our sidebar on the NEWS page.
